About Me

My photo
So, I am a 25 year old college student who tutors kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as college students. I've been in school forever but I'm okay with it because life got a little intense for a while, and I've had to slow down because of it.. If you are curious about my blog name, I just really love snowflakes, and their beauty. I aspire to do great things, help others, and travel to other countries someday to teach English or whatever, wherever I'm needed. I hope to regain my muchness, (Alice in Wonderland reference)through blogging about my life, and I honestly had no idea how awesome Blogger was until I started reading peoples blogs from all over the world last night! I'm striving to learn new things, and make new discoveries about the world and how I fit into it; so, feel free to join me for the ride! Peace!

I Miss Her....

The poet within says I miss her. I miss her laugh, I miss her smile, and I miss her love for life... I miss her courage, strength, kindness, and goodness. I miss knowing that she will cling to her faith and try her best not to judge herself harshly, or others.

She was resilient and the best at knowing the right things to say, do, and when she entered a room everyone was happier just because she was there. She had compassion, and a strength beyond anything I've ever known.

She is asleep... in a deep sleep... and she feels dead inside right now because of the pain... but when she wakes it will be as if no time has passed at all.

She will wake, and she will be renewed by God and by his love for her. His love for her will last forever and always.

The Small Things That Make You Smile and Laugh!

Finding joy in the small things is sometimes what life is all about.... For instance, today, my sister and I were watching the SNL Presidential Bash of 2008 together and I had forgotten how stinkin hilarious it was! We were curled up in bed, under blankets (because it's stinkin cold!) and just cracking up....like laughing hysterically! There were some sketches that literally almost had me falling out of the bed and crying because I was laughing so hard. I had forgotten how freakin' hilarious Tina Fey was as Sarah Palin, and how Will Ferrell was the best George W. ever! "I put in the long hours...24/7...that's 24 hours a week... 7 months out of the year." Anyway, sometimes it's just nice to not worry about anything and watch something funny! I really needed a good laugh.

I also got a good laugh a week or so ago when the last Skating with the Stars aired. I had not been keeping up with it and tuned in.... anyway, I was kind of watching and texting, and goofing off on FB when I heard one of the hosts say what I thought was, "now, the judges scores...(then he began listing names) - Laurie Ann Gibson, Johnney Weir, (and this is where I thought I heard) Dick Bottom (actually Button)." Anyway, as soon as I thought I heard Dick Bottom I stopped in mid-text and ran in back to be sure, all the while not paying attention to the name written on the screen I honestly thought that is what the British host said and just started dying laughing! Then every time he announced scores the rest of the night and said Dick's name I began laughing again. It wasn't until I started texting friends about what I thought was his name when someone replied..."it's actually Dick Button." LOL They kind of busted my fun bubble but I got over it. For a while I thought I had found a name that topped a News Anchor's name in my area... Chris Coffey, LOL.

At any rate, I just love finding joy in the small things, it helps me laugh and smile and realize even when things get rough, there's always some joy in life!
Peace!
